Ben Lueders was born on the steamy jungle island of Okinawa in 1987. He is the second born son of seven children, all of whom were raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord by their hard-working Air Force father and their loving homeschool mother. Ben spent most of his childhood living on the beach in Hawaii. It was tough.
Ben is now an Omaha-based musician that plays piano, guitar, ukulele, harmonica and he tries to sing as well. On February 26th 2009 he released his first album "This Battle". He is currently involved in a collaborative recording project with fellow musicians Danny Sabra and Zach Short. (Rumor has it that he will be releasing a new solo record based on his trip to China in 2008).
In addition to music, Ben is also an artist that works as the "in-house" graphic designer for The Hawaii Coral Reef Initiative. He also launched his own private design firm Fruitful Design in Spring of 2010. Contact him, and he'll give you a good deal on illustration, branding design and print media.
On June 18th 2009, Ben asked the most beautiful girl in the world to marry him- and she said "of course!" So Ben married Megan Knight on May 14th 2010. Both individuals are feeling over-whelmingly blessed, and extremely "in-love". They are expecting their first child in September of 2011.
The purpose of this blog is for Ben to share his music and musings about community, culture, family, church, music...and how they all interact with each other. Ben hopes that you would join the conversation...
